EARLI has hosted its biennial conference at universities and institutes for higher education across Europe since 1985. From 1995 onwards, the main EARLI conference is preceded by a JURE pre-conference aimed at early career researchers. Below, you can find the most recent previous EARLI conferences:
The 17th Biennial EARLI Conference (29 August - 2 September 2017) was hosted by the University of Tampere, Finland on "Education in the crossroads of economy and politics – Role of research in the advancement of public good". We warmly encourage participants to present results and ideas to increase the impact of research in the political and societal decision-makers.

The 18th Biennial EARLI Conference (12 - 16 August 2019) was hosted at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Participants were encouraged to present results and ideas on state-of-the-art research in learning and instruction, specifically around the topic "Thinking Tomorrow's Education: Learning from the past, in the present and for the future".
